This Privacy Policy explains how KindRise (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our fundraising platform (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

Account information: name, email, organization name, and pricing selection when you register as a Fundraiser.
Campaign information: the content you publish, including titles, descriptions, goals, and images.
Donation information: when you donate, we collect the amount and, if you provide it, your name and email for receipts. We do not store full payment card numbers.
Technical data: basic log and device information generated when you use the Service.

2. Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are submitted directly to Stripe and are handled under Stripe’s Privacy Policy. KindRise does not receive or store your full card number.

3. How we use information

To operate the Service: create accounts, publish campaigns, and process donations.
To send transactional messages such as receipts and account notices.
To maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

With Fundraisers: if you donate, the Fundraiser can see your donation amount and the name/email you provide.
With service providers: Stripe (payments) and Supabase (database and authentication hosting), who process data on our behalf.
For legal reasons: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

6. Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and operate the Service. We do not use them to sell your data.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
