Fundraising Flyer Templates for Schools, HOAs, Sports Teams, and Community Groups

A great fundraising flyer does one thing: removes every barrier between someone reading it and someone donating. That means a clear headline, a specific goal, and a QR code they can scan right now instead of a URL they'll forget to type later.

Below are templates for four common campaign types. Copy the text into any design tool (Word, Google Docs, Canva, or even a text editor), drop in your QR code, and print.

Design tips for higher response rates

  • Headline first: The first thing eyes land on should be the emotional hook, not the organization name. "Help our kids go on their first field trip" beats "Lincoln Elementary PTA 2026 Annual Fundraiser."
  • QR code placement: Bottom third of the flyer, centered, at least 1.5 inches square. Add "Scan to donate" in 12pt+ text directly below it.
  • One ask, one action: Don't ask people to both donate AND volunteer AND share AND attend. One CTA per flyer. Make it donate.
  • White space: A crowded flyer gets skimmed; a clear one gets read. Less text, bigger type.

Frequently asked questions

What should a fundraising flyer include?

A fundraising flyer needs five things: who is fundraising, what the money pays for, how much you're trying to raise, how to donate (ideally a QR code + URL), and a deadline. Keep it to one page. A strong image or graphic and a single clear headline are more effective than dense text.

How do I add a QR code to a fundraising flyer?

Launch your campaign on KindRise and download the auto-generated QR code as a PNG. Open your flyer in Word, Google Docs, or Canva, drag the QR code image onto the page, and resize it to at least 1.5 inches square. Add the text 'Scan to donate' below it. That's it.

What size should a fundraising flyer be?

US Letter (8.5" × 11") for standard printing or half-sheet (5.5" × 8.5") for handouts. Half-sheets are cheaper to print (2 per page), easier to distribute at events, and just as effective. For posters or window displays, use 11" × 17".
